April 1, 2020
The global developments on COVID-19 and the efforts to contain the SARS-CoV‑2 virus are currently challenging us all. In these demanding times, we need to stand together more than ever. The STIWA Group is maintaining their business activities within the scope of the official regulations. STIWA is fulfilling customer orders, supply agreements and guaranteed services in the best possible way and in the interest of their customers. The support is also available to the greatest possible extent.
At the same time, we are reducing our operations in those areas where it currently makes sense. For example, we have applied for short-time work for parts of the STIWA Group for three months, gradually starting on April 1, 2020, so that we can react flexibly to further developments and secure the jobs of our employees and the existence of the company. We are convinced that we will be able to master this challenging period and regain full speed after the crisis.
Maximum protection is our primary goal
In order to protect our employees and business partners, the STIWA Group implemented extensive preventive measures immediately after the first occurrence of the virus in Austria, which are continuously adapted to the current situation. Wherever the general conditions allow it, our employees work in their home office, meetings and appointments are held virtually. All these steps have led to the fact that there has been no confirmed infection with the SARS-CoV‑2 virus within the STIWA Group to date. I would like to thank the works council and all employees who fully support our measures and thus make their contribution to the continuation of our operations.
We are aware that the situation can change rapidly. For this reason, the management and the Corona crisis team are constantly monitoring the situation and are coordinating further action on a daily basis. Should further developments require a change in the continuation of our business activities, we will of course inform immediately.
