Various types of voltage transformers are assembled and tested in this fully automated system from STIWA. These are installed in cars, for example for start-stop systems, where they help to save fuel, e.g. by means of electric steering assistance.
The machine consists of two main areas, the product assembly line followed by the product test circuit system. Various types of 48V DC/DC voltage converters are mounted in the first part of the machine. Process stations include plasma activation, gluing, pressing and screwing. In the second section, the test circuit, the voltage converter is checked for functionality by means of EOL tests and then the converter is labeled. The product parts are transported via pick and place linear actuator units.
FLEXIBILITY THROUGH AUTOMATIC SETUP STATIONS
STIWA has developed the setup stations for this machine. These allow simultaneous processing of different product types and automatic setup of the grippers. The setup stations can also be used as a temporary tray for the product parts, so that the duration of the blister change in the palletizing system can be optimally connected.
