In this fully automatic STIWA system, medical Luer-Lock closure caps are fed, separated, and packaged. These single-use products are used for sterile sealing of infusion sets and pre-filled syringes.
Three 12-channel special feeding devices supply the parts. Since the caps tend to screw into one another, a compact process station automatically unscrews and separates them. A chute brings the caps into an upright position by gravity. A conveyor system handles the transfer to the blister tape.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE CYCLE RATE PERFECTLY SYNCHRONIZED
All processes at the 5 process stations are precisely coordinated with one another. 72 caps are transferred simultaneously in just 2.5 seconds (approximately 0.035 sec. per piece). This high speed is necessary to prevent thermal damage to the plastic in the blister machine.
