This STIWA machine produces power modules for electric cars. The components are automatically assembled with processes using adhesive bonding, laser welding, and a multi-step assembly process.
After being loaded into the machine, the housing and power hybrid are secured with a two-component adhesive and cured via UV activation. Electrical contacts are joined together using laser welding. A grounding pad is applied to the circuit board. Then a pressure piece is placed in a soft potting compound. The sub-assembly is cured in an oven and mounted onto a heat sink using screws, disk springs, and press-in bushings. The finished product is finally loaded into trays.
