Since its foundation in 1972, the STIWA Group has developed from a one-man operation into a leading global automation, production and software specialist. Throughout all these years, the family business has followed the values of its founder Walter Sticht which are incorporated in the corporate strategy.
The company's value system is rooted in five basic values:

Our employees are the key ingredient of our company's success. We want to enable them to act independently, responsibly and appropriately in every situation based on their professional, social and societal competence. The STIWA Group Code of Conduct provides the basis for this and must be followed by all employees as well as by all persons who are functionally equivalent to our own staff.
Our codes of conduct
Our business partners are an essential factor in our success. The Code of Conduct for Business Partners forms the cornerstone of cooperation with STIWA. It makes transparent to our external partners which standards we require in our cooperation, and sets out social, environmental and ethical requirements together with the process for verifying them.
The principles of our codes of conduct are the shared benchmark for cooperation between STIWA and its business partners. For business partners, the Code of Conduct for Business Partners (as of 07/2026) applies; to that extent it supersedes the Code of Conduct of December 2023, which remains in force for STIWA and its employees until it is revised.
Our requirements and principles are based on “The ten principles of the UN Global Compact”, the core labour standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprisesand the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
