ATTNANG-PUCHHEIM. STIWA apprentices were unbeatable in the categories electrical engineering and design at the Upper Austrian Apprentice Award 2024: Daniel Löschenberger, Stefan Huber and Fabian Schuster took first place in the electrical engineering category, while Nela Avdibegovic and Annalena Roider took first and second place in the design category and were also awarded the special "Women in Technology" prize. In the overall ranking, Daniel Löschenberger and Felix Tauber (Energie AG OÖ) shared the title of "Best Apprentice in Upper Austria".

The apprentice competition was again fierce this year: 745 second-year apprentices took part in the industry competition. 96 companies made it possible for their young employees to take part. Over the course of several days, the young participants demonstrated their skills to 122 judges at 21 venues throughout Upper Austria.

The apprentices - like all other STIWA apprentices with a grade 1 - were invited to the annual award ceremony on 18 June 2024 at the Sandburg in Linz. They were accompanied by STIWA Holding Managing Director Peter Sticht, Head of  Apprentice Training Thomas Bartl and Apprentice Trainer David Lenzeder. "We would like to congratulate all our apprentices on their outstanding achievements. We are proud of them and their achievements, not only in the apprentice competition, but throughout the year in our company," said Peter Sticht.

Modern machinery in the company's own training center

With an apprentice ratio of ten percent, the multi-award-winning company is one of the largest industrial training providers in Upper Austria. This year, more than 50 new apprentices were taken on, and a total of around 220 young people worldwide are undergoing training at STIWA in ten professional groups. As a leading international company in the fields of automation, production and software, STIWA trains its apprentices to the highest standards. "Equipped with state-of-the-art training machines, all apprentices receive high-tech training with the best career opportunities at the company's own training center in Attnang-Puchheim," says Bartl.
