STIWA goes #Vienna - New Location in Vienna

STIWA opens a new location in Vienna on April 1, 2022, marking another expansion step in the company's software business field.

STIWA opens a new location in Vienna on April 1, 2022, marking another expansion step in the company's software business field. The new team of developers will gradually expand and independently implement projects for the STIWA Group in the future.

“The software division continues to grow its team of 150 developers and opens a new location in Vienna in addition to expanding the existing locations in Attnang and Hagenberg”, says Managing Director Peter Sticht. "The demand for our services and software products increases sharply, and at the same time the shortage of qualified personnel in Upper Austria becomes an ever greater challenge. As an international hub, Vienna offers many new opportunities, especially in the search for developers."

Proximity to TU Vienna as a major asset

“The new office in the immediate vicinity to TU Vienna enables us to further expand our existing collaboration. The first on-site networking talks have already taken place," comments Peter Sticht. Another advantage: The new office at Karlsplatz 1 is right in the city center and is easily accessible by public transport.

In the future, the 170 m2 premises will accommodate 14 to 16 developers. "We are pleased that we have been able to gain Rene Weidlinger, a well-connected and motivated colleague from our own ranks, as the new team leader. He will be an important link to the existing teams in Hagenberg and Attnang," says Sticht. Together, the team of senior and junior developers as well as quality assurance engineers will now be further extended.

Continuous growth in Attnang and Hagenberg

Today, the digitalization of production systems is one of the most important topics for machine engineers and production companies. With over 25 years of experience, STIWA is the global partner for networked product and high-performance automation. "Our software products accompany the entire life cycle - from project planning to implementation and optimization. In this context, self-learning processes also play an increasingly important role. With this know-how, we are an important partner for a wide variety of industries and markets. Our goal is continuous growth. In addition to Attnang and Hagenberg, in the future also in Vienna," concludes Peter Sticht.
