STIWA software as an independent software company

In April, the bundling of software activities was implemented in STIAMS. Through the new sales structure and the intensification of marketing measures, STIWA Software is to become visible on the market as an independent software company.

The new website and the coordinated joint appearance with STIAUT at the “Automatica” in Munich already set a strong first sign of the software sector on the market in the spring. With the strategic integration into all sales activities of the STIWA Group and a strong intensification of marketing measures, further milestones are to follow in the next financial year. "The software is one of the most important future topics for the STIWA Group. By bundling the software activities, we have now taken a significant step toward making better use of the synergies across the entire group of companies. Our goal is to develop digitization solutions and high-tech software components at minimal costs and market them worldwide," says Peter Sticht, Managing Director of STIAMS. Even if acquiring new customers is a clear goal of restructuring the software sector, the focus within the group remains on joint success and that

Cooperation between the business areas of automation, manufacturing and software. In this way, we secure the basis for joint development and sustainable successful growth for the entire Group," emphasizes Peter Sticht

We ensure transparency

Based on the combination of mechanical engineering, production and software development, which is unique in the market, STIWA software solutions do not fit into a classic pattern on the market. "We see ourselves as a strategic partner for data-driven software solutions and around the Shopfloor and thus as a supplement, but also partly as an alternative, common MES solutions. Always when it comes to transparency for optimization and decision-making in the areas of product, process and resource, or PPR for short," says Michael Meisel, New Head of Sales and Product Management STIWA Software, repositioning in the market.

The iceberg serves as a symbol, according to Meisel: "The classic software solutions for the shop floor analyze what is visible. STIWA Software, on the other hand, picks up the information where it originates - on the sensor, on the PLC and combines this data with a comprehensive understanding of processes and our skills in the field of data science. We support our customers in generating benefits locally and ensure that this can also be made available globally with our modular, standardized software platform."

Employee growth as a critical factor

"Our know-how creates a unique competitive advantage in the market. These opportunities must be exploited. However, the search for new employees is still a major challenge," says Sticht. In order to make use of the traction power of a large city, STIWA opened a new location in Vienna in April of this year. "The decision to choose the location in Vienna is already having an effect, but the focus on employee retention and employee growth will remain a central goal of the entire Group in the next financial year," says Peter Sticht.
