More than 300 interested visitors accepted the STIWA Group's invitation to find out about the diverse training opportunities at STIWA at the Open Training Workshop Day. The apprentices presented their apprenticeships and guided the visitors through the training center. The guests were very impressed by the modern machine park and the many different apprenticeships at STIWA. For the first time, they also had the opportunity to visit the plants in Attnang-Puchheim and Gampern during guided tours, both the assembly and high-tech series production. Lectures by the trainers, exciting technology stations and individual consultation rounds off the offer.
Career with apprenticeship – international!
STIWA is now one of the top apprentice trainers in the whole of Upper Austria. After their training, all doors are open to the young specialists. The most important apprenticeships include mechatronics, machining technology, mechanical engineering, design and tool construction technology. Again this year, 57 young people started their training in 10 apprenticeships. This means that more than 200 young people are currently undergoing training at STIWA. This year, six STIWA apprentices successfully completed their apprenticeship for the first time in China, where the apprenticeship was initiated 4 years ago. Next year, apprentices will also be trained for the first time at the STIWA location in Schlangenbad.
Graduation on the second path of education
From now on, the STIWA Group also offers all interested adults – with or without prior technical knowledge – a high-tech education or an apprenticeship in the fields of machining technology, process technology, tool construction technology, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering at our locations in Attnang-Puchheim and Gampern. The cooperation partner for this second-path apprenticeship is the Salzkammergut Labour Foundation. "In addition to teaching and the Dual Academy, especially for AHS Matura students, we now have a wide range of training options with this additional offer for adults. If you are enthusiastic about innovative technologies and processes, and are also happy to take new paths into a successful professional future, we offer all the possibilities for you," says STIWA Head of Training Thomas Bartl.
"We are very pleased that the Open Training Workshop Day has again attracted such great interest this year. For us, this event is the ideal opportunity to present our modern training center and to point out the numerous career opportunities with an apprenticeship at STIWA."
